We have received a substantial book and video donation from Michael B. Harper, a former professor in Art History and Architecture History at Ohio University. He taught 31 years in Athens, Ohio and retired in 2008 and moved to Tucson. Mr. Harper has been an active member of the Tucson Symphony, the Arizona Opera, the Tucson Art Museum and the University of Arizona Art Museum. He has traveled throughout most of Western and Eastern Europe, Greece and Egypt and produced a slide library of architecture and art from these areas that he donated to Ohio University. Sabino Library has received Mr. Harper’s generous donation of his personal library of art, architecture, philosophy and history books and videos. These items have been cataloged and processed and are located on the 2nd floor of the library in a special area named the Michael B. Harper Collection. |
